A building that withstands time is a well-thought and constructed one. Storms and earthquakes are very common these days than before that’s why our house, buildings, and other construction projects should be well thought off and built just like these four inspiring old buildings in Manila. They not just stand time, nor storms, not earthquakes. Some of them stayed erected even after a war. Construction company plays a vital role in building your house or building. That’s why you should hire only the best in the field just like the contractors of these historic buildings.

San Agustin Church

The San Agustin Church is located in the historic walled city of Intramuros in Manila. It is already over 400 years old. It was constructed between 1587 and 1606. It is the only building left intact after the destruction of Intramuros in WWII. Such a strong construction project.

Manila Central Post Office

The Manila Central Post Office is the central post office of the city of Manila. It was built in 1926, in neoclassical architecture designed by Juan M. Arellano and Tomas Mapua.

UST Main Building

The Main Building of the University of Santo Tomas in Manila functions as the university’s administrative center. The building was designed by Fr. Roque Ruano, O.P., and construction began in 1927. It is the first earthquake-resistant building in the country. It is declared a national treasure by the Philippine government.

Manila City Hall

The Manila City Hall is located in the heart of Ermita in Manila. It was designed by Arch. Antonio Toledo and was built in 1939. The building may be viewed as a casket when seen from an aerial standpoint. It was not intentionally formed to look that way but rather to look like a shield of the Knights Templar which symbolized that the Philippines is under the influence and protection of Roman Catholic Church.

Build strong. Construct stronger!
